Many have a Master’s degree. Few have the Dr. iur..
A doctorate makes a difference: on letterheads, in client engagements, at the negotiating table. Ascendius supports you in pursuing a doctorate whilst working: clearly structured, compliant with regulations, and with 100% personal contribution. We do not sell titles; we prepare your application thoroughly. The university makes the final decision.
Three reasons, none of which hold water.
Modular support, flexible and online, with clear milestones: easy to fit in alongside client work and your daily routine.
Particularly in your profession: 100 per cent of your own work, a recognised procedure, the university makes the decision, no risk in the rear-view mirror.
We’ll work with you to find a suitable topic drawn from your legal practice and the academic pathway that fits your discipline and the doctoral regulations.
A qualification that no one can take away from you.
A degree bought or ghostwritten is a liability – both professionally and legally. A Dr. iur. earned through your own efforts is a solid foundation. We provide structure, methodology and exam preparation. The academic work remains entirely your own.
The four pillars of academic integrity.
100% authorship & original work
Every result relevant to your assessment stems from your own academic work. No ghostwriting, no outsourcing.
Faculty-specific alignment
Doctoral regulations, admission requirements and the supervision environment form the defining framework.
Methodological expertise
Optional mentoring on research logic, methodology, structure, argumentation and presentation suitable for examination.
Good academic practice

“The clear methodological structuring of my research project was particularly valuable; the support helped me to formulate my research proposal with greater academic precision and to prepare the next steps with academic rigour.”

What you’ll want to know before you get in touch.
Does Ascendius write parts of my doctoral thesis?+
No, absolutely not. Ghostwriting can lead to the loss of your degree and is strictly prohibited. Every word must be your own. We provide feedback, check the logic, help with structure and exam preparation.
I’ve been working for years – can I still write an academic paper?+
Yes, that’s the most common reason why senior executives turn to us. Academic writing is a skill that can be relearned step by step. We’ll meet you where you are today.
Is the doctoral degree recognised and valid in my country?+
We work exclusively with state-recognised universities. All participating higher education institutions are listed in anabin, the official database of the Kultusministerkonferenz, with H+ status, meaning they are classified as higher education institutions recognised in Germany. The degree is awarded through a standard doctoral procedure involving supervision, examination and original research; the decision to award the degree rests solely with the university.
Whether and in what form you are permitted to use the title is determined by the country in which you use it. The same criteria are assessed everywhere: a recognised higher education institution and a standard procedure. Only the competent authority has a different name: in Germany, the anabin and the ZAB; in Turkey, the YÖK; in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Education; in the UAE, the MOHESR; and within the EU, the relevant ENIC-NARIC authority. During the initial consultation, we will tell you which authority is responsible for your case and what it checks. This information is provided for guidance only and does not constitute legal advice.
How much time do I need to set aside each week?+
The system is flexible to suit busy professionals. Much of the work can be done in manageable digital chunks; the time required depends on the subject, the university and your progress.
When will I know the costs?+
Following the initial consultation, you will receive a transparent quote. Placement, advice and optional mentoring are clearly separated.
Free initial consultation, with no obligation.
